SUMMER ART CAMP

June 3 — August 2

Art Camp is a fun way for artists age 5-10 to boost creative confidence through the visual arts. Working in diverse mediums artists will engage their imaginations while building creative skills.

Art camp faqs

What are the age requirements for attending the art camp?

Our summer art camp is designed for artists aged 5-10. If we have two distinctly older and younger groups of kids in a camp session, they will be grouped by age. Everyone may be working with the same medium but we may modify the project to be age appropriate.

What types of art projects will the aritsts be working on?

We offer a wide range of mixed media art projects including painting, sculpting, drawing, and more. Projects are designed to be fun, educational, and allow for creative expression.

What should my artist bring to the camp?

Artists should bring a water bottle, a jacket and hat for outdoor activities, a snack and packed lunch. Be sure to wear clothes that are okay to get a little messy.

Is there any prior art experience required?

No, all skill levels are welcome! Our camp is designed to inspire and engage kids at any level of art experience.

Are there any outdoor activities?

Yes! After our morning session we will take a walk to Montclair park (2 blocks) for lunch, recess, and art making in the park.

What is the artist-to-instructor ratio?

We maintain a low 5:1 artist-to-instructor ratio to ensure plenty of individual attention.

What is the cancellation or refund policy?

Cancellations and reschedules can be made up to 14 days before the camp start date. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the start date can receive a 50% refund.

How do you incorporate learning with fun in the art projects?

We blend fine art fundamentals with fun by designing projects that are both exploratory and engaging. Our activities encourage creativity, teach artistic techniques, and encourage individual expression. We also incorporate games and interactive discussions to keep the learning environment lively and enjoyable for the kids.

Are there any discounts available for siblings or early registrations?

Yes, we offer a 10% discount for siblings and a 10% early bird discount for registrations made before April 1.

Will the children have any take-home art pieces?

Absolutely! Children will create 5+ art pieces throughout the week that they will take home and share with their families.

What happened to the half-day option?

After thoughtful consideration and valuable feedback from many of our families, we are delighted to transition from half-day to ALL full-day camp sessions!
