Our Philosophy

Corner House Studio offers fun, fine-art inspired classes, camps and events for young artists. Our studio is a space to learn, experiment, and grow creatively.

Building Creative Confidence

Our #1 goal is to build creative confidence in our young artists—so that they can grow into independent thinkers with the gumption and skills to see their ideas through!

What the heck is creative confidence? It’s the ability to keep going even when you aren’t sure about what you’re doing. When something doesn’t work, creative confidence is what keeps us trying new ideas until we figure it out.

WHAT MAKES CORNER HOUSE Studio SPECIAL?

At Corner House Studio, we believe every child is an artist—and that the creative journey matters more than a perfect outcome. Our art camps and classes are designed to spark imagination, nurture confidence, and give every young artist the freedom to express themselves in meaningful ways. We don’t focus on copying a model or doing it “right”—we focus on what makes each artist’s voice unique.

Inspiring Creativity

Our instructors introduce inspiring materials and set a creative challenge, but from there, artists are encouraged to take the lead. Whether it’s bold brushstrokes, wild textures, or unexpected colors, we celebrate the originality that comes from trusting your own ideas. There’s no “wrong” way to make art here—just endless possibilities to explore.

Building Confidence

We believe that confidence grows when young artists are given space to make their own choices. That’s why our lessons are designed to include open-ended decisions, playful experimentation, and room for self-expression. When children see what they can create from their own ideas, they feel proud—not just of the final piece, but of their own creative voice. And that’s a kind of confidence that extends far beyond the studio walls.

Focus on the Process

Art isn’t just about the end product—it’s about the process. We honor the full creative journey, including the moments of frustration, joy, and discovery that happen along the way. Our artists learn that it’s okay to make mistakes, to change direction, and to feel big feelings. We remind them that every scribble, smudge, and second thought is part of what makes their art theirs.
