our studio

We’ve created a space where children can settle in, feel safe, and make real art.

What it feels like inside

  • Bright + inviting (yes, it’s kid-friendly—no, it’s not chaotic)

  • Organized, abundant materials that kids can access with confidence

  • A steady rhythm that helps artists relax, focus, and create

  • Warm teachers who know how to support big feelings and big ideas

Built for real making

Two studios

We have two small studio rooms, which lets us run two classes at once while keeping groups calm, contained, and well-supported. It’s structured—in a good way.

Tools that signal trust

Kids work with real brushes, quality paper, clay tools, and materials that feel serious. When you put good tools in their hands, they rise to it.

space that respects the work

There’s plenty of space to store artwork safely between sessions—so pieces can dry, evolve, and be revisited. Kids get to experience art as a process, not a one-and-done craft.

Clean routines

Art can be messy. We make it feel easy. Kids grab a studio apron, use our clean-up station, and learn simple routines that build independence and keep the space feeling cared for.

Location

We’re proudly located in the Montclair Village area of Oakland.

At Corner House Studio, your child will be met with warmth and respect. They’ll be taught by adults who love art and love kids. They’ll leave with artwork you want to keep and a sense that:
I can do hard things.
I can make something real.

I am an artist.
